WHAT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED

Wedding MC + Event Host

Getting to know you, the couple

Alex’s first priority is to meet the couple as soon as possible. It’s important for Alex to get to know the upcoming newlyweds and to work towards realising their goals for the night. The more information Alex gathers, the better.

Right on time

Alex usually arrives 2 hours prior to the start of the reception to ensure all is good to go. On the night, he constantly engages with all vendors, all while keeping the newlyweds relaxed and destressed.

Run sheet

The Run Sheet is the most important document when it comes to wedding planning. It’s a work-in-progress, requiring collaboration between Alex, the couple, vendors and most importantly, the venue. The Run Sheet is the blueprint for the night and it must include ALL relevant information. Alex’s wealth of knowledge on the wedding scene has equipped him with the right understanding of what is required to plan a successful night.

Vendors

Alex needs to be informed of all the vendors that are working on the day, from the photographers, to the limo driver. Working with all vendors is paramount to a seamless night and not every vendor stays for the entire reception. Alex will liaise with all vendors leading up to and on the evening itself and advise them of any changes to the run sheet.

On the night coordination

Being a Wedding MC is more than just holding the microphone. Alex will coordinate the night to ensure the plan is coming along nicely. Alex is experienced at “recalibrating” (as he likes to call it) when unexpected hurdles arise on the night. He is quick to devise last-minute changes to keep the celebration on track!

Event Host

Alex boasts extensive experience in hosting various events, from award nights to humanitarian fundraisers. He is meticulous in overseeing key segments, such as Q&As, auctions and live performances.

As a former adviser to a member of parliament, Alex boasts a proven track record in event and stakeholder management. He has dealt with stakeholders from all walks of life, and is quick to develop a trusted working rapport with anyone he meets.

As previously mentioned, Alex regularly appears as a guest speaker and was employed as a speech writer. Renowned for being quick-witted, Alex knows to use the right words at the right time, especially when it comes to compliments and ad-libbing.
